WHY THIS WATCH MATTERS
The green fumé dial is the star: horizontal bands, block markers and a gold-toned geometric case combine to unmistakably evoke the 1970s. Its modest one-jewel movement and multinational construction tell the story of the inexpensive mechanical wristwatch as faithfully as more expensive Swiss watches tell their own.

WHAT WAS DONE
The available product intake does not document servicing, crystal replacement, lubrication, cleaning or restoration on this Kronotron. No work is claimed as completed. A functional test and any subsequent treatment should be recorded here before the watch is offered as running.
CONDITION & ORIGINALITY
The appealing green gradient dial retains strong color and legible lettering, with age-specks around several markers. Gold-tone case surfaces show scratches, finish thinning and localized wear around the crown. The caseback is heavily scratched and has a small oxidized spot. The gold-tone mesh bracelet shows notable discoloration and oxidation near the clasp and connecting sections; its strength has not been assessed. Crystal and bracelet originality are not confirmed.
THE STORY OF THIS WATCH
A little piece of 1970s visual theater: the Kronotron Electra shifts from deep forest green at its edges to olive and moss across the center of its striped dial. Broad ivory hour markers break the color into a precise rhythm, while the warm gold-tone cushion case and fine mesh bracelet give it the unmistakable presence of its decade.
The name Electra sounds electrical, but beneath the dial lives a traditional hand-wound movement. This is a watch wound by its owner, not a battery-powered experiment.
REFERENCE & MODEL HISTORY
The dial identifies this as a Kronotron Electra. The 'Lifetime Mainspring' phrase is contemporary advertising language, not a warranty today. There is no verified model or serial number, and the exact Constructa base caliber remains unidentified. This is a mechanical one-jewel movement; whether it uses a pin-lever escapement requires positive caliber identification.
ABOUT THE BRAND
Kronotron Electra watches illustrate the international manufacturing arrangements common to affordable mechanical watches in the later twentieth century. This example's dial reads 'SWISS MOVT HONG KONG DIAL'; the case interior names Kin Cheng Fty., Hong Kong; and the movement is signed Constructa Watch Ltd., Swiss Made, One Jewel. Different companies contributed different parts of one finished watch.
Rather than claiming a wholly Swiss-made watch, its markings tell a more interesting story about the watch trade linking Swiss movement suppliers to Hong Kong casemakers and dial production.

A NOTE ON VINTAGE
The back is marked DUSTPROOF, not an assurance of modern water resistance. This decades-old mechanical watch has not been pressure tested, and operating condition is currently unverified. Examine the detailed photographs for wear, including corrosion on the mesh bracelet.
